Kim Kardashian, Zoe Saldana, Jennifer Love Hewitt feed the homeless with Los Angeles Mission

Kim Kardashian and Zoe Saldana might be going through some tough break-ups, but the celebrities took some time out on Wednesday to serve meals to the homeless with the the Los Angeles Mission.

Kardashian, Saldana as well as other stars such as Jennifer Love Hewitt and Kirk Douglas, who hosted the event for the seventh year in a row, helped out the cause.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is a first-timer at the mission, but a rep told Us Weekly she "worked hard in both the food preparation area and in serving the food to the guests.

Saldana urged her Twitter followers to join in on helping feed the needy by saying they "could feed more if you log on to http://www.feedLANow.org and donate."

Kardashian also took to her Twitter account to share Their goal is to feed 120,000 people by the end of the year! We fed so many today."

People reports that while at the mission, Kardashian opened up about what Thanksgiving means to her.

"I think the holidays are just about winding down and spending time with your family. She added, "That's what it's going to be about this year for me."
