NPP calls FDI a conspiracy to colonize national economy

Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, National Panthers Party has urged Dr. Manmohan Singh, the Prime Minister of India to act boldly and daringly saying no to western conspiracy to colonize Indian economy under the new pretext in the name of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) which in fact is fraud on the development of India. He said that millions of people below the poverty line or on the poverty line earning livelihood for their families by running dhabas, community stores, reharies etc. shall be thrown out of their self-created jobs if the impending disaster called FDI is allowed to take place. He said so-called 51% of investment by Indians shall remain in the control of those holding illicit and black money.
The NPP Chief has given a call to the students in the universities, colleges and other educational institutions as well as to the unemployed youth to forge a National Youth Alliance for the protection of their economic and political interest which stands threatened under the present so-called globalization.
In 1990, UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development) in its survey project came to find that India was the second most important FDI destination (after China) for transnational corporations during 2010-12. As per the data, the sectors which attracted higher inflows were services, telecommunication, security, construction activities and computer software and hardware. Mauritius, Singapore, the US and the UK were among the leading sources of FDI. This is evident that the colonial power have found an easy window to control Indias commercial activities even at the grass-root level. If this is allowed to happen it shall make hundreds of millions people jobless. Security and democracy of the country shall stand threatened.
Prof. Bhim Singh said that voice of the people is voice of God and 99.99% people of India stand threatened by this notorious FDI.
In the meanwhile an emergency meeting of the Secretariat held in Jammu under the Chairmanship of Shri Harsh Dev Singh,! Leader of the Legislature Party and Working Chairman has in a unanimous resolution condemned FDI and demanded its roll back without delay.

NPP has strongly opposed the Central Government move to allow FDI in retail sector in India as it would not only jeopardize the business prospects of India businessman but could even eliminate the marginal traders from the market.
In a meeting of NPP held under the Chairmanship of Harsh Dev Singh MLA & its Working Chairman, the NPP described the decision as highly illogical, irrational and prejudicial to the interests of Indian traders particularly the small and marginal retailers.
NPP leaders said that the very idea of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) was ill-conceived nod inexorable as the marginal Indian trader would be pitted against powerful MNCs. How could the small traders survive in the face of competition posed by powerful Multinational Companies was the most pertinent issue which needed immediate government attention. They strongly condemned the disinformation campaign launched by the votaries of FDI and contested their claims that the entry of FDI in retail sector would remove the ills afflicting the Indian economy and promote the interests of traders, farmers and the un-employed. NPP leaders said that the serious concern shown by the Traders community the country over should be an eye opener for the government which should immediately review its decision in ultimate public interest.
Demanding early roll back of the said policy, the NPP leaders said that the people of the country wee genuinely concerned as there were apprehension of Unemployment, elimination of small traders besides onset of inflationary tendencies with the advent of the proposed policy. Pleading all support to the traders in their fight against the proposed policy, the NPP leaders announced the support to the Bharat Bandh call given by various Traders organization of December 1.
