DO YOU dare to embellish down there? American actress Jennifer Love Hewitt and supermodel Elle Macpherson both did and had no qualms about telling the world about their decorated nether regions.

And now, thanks to a new wax bar in the city, the vajazzling trend has reached a whole new level among the girls of Liverpool.

Strip has set up shop in Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar offering a host of different shapes and styles of gem embellishment as well as waxing fashions.

From diamond shapes to martini glasses, snowflakes to hearts the sky seems to be the limit when it comes to intimate grooming with crystals.

Danielle Featherstone-Price, co-founder of Strip, believes the new wax bar is the perfect addition to the already glamorous local beauty scene.

This is our eighth location and first northern presence. We feel that Liverpool is key. The city was missing a high end luxury waxing and beauty service, she says.

I know clients in Liverpool take grooming and beauty seriously and will be looking for the latest must have treatments. Our aim is to bring them the best.

Vajazzling came to prominenc! e in the UK when ITV2s The Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs applied the procedure to her friend and co-star Sam Faiers.

The beauty craze involves girls bedazzling freshly waxed lady parts by sticking tiny crystals in a variety of different designs and colours.

Essentially, it is like customising an old denim jacket with diamante to add a touch of sparkle except, this time, you are bejewelling below the belt.

Vajazzling may not be everyones cup of tea but it appears to have allowed customers to experiment and showcase their creative side with many devising their own designs.

Clients are able to wear whatever design they fancy, whether it is for a special occasion or if you just fancy a bit of sparkle, explains Danielle.

Initials are very popular as are lots of different shapes. One client had 270 individual gems placed into a diamond shape.

But asked about which design she predicts will be the most popular from a basic bikini wax right up to their wedding special where clients go ultra smooth and then have their beloveds initial applied in diamante Danielle wont divulge.
