Adam Levine jokes: 'Jennifer Love Hewitt was aggressive'

Adam Levine has joked that Jennifer Love Hewitt was "aggressive" when she admitted that she has a crush on him.

Love Hewitt confessed during an appearance on Ellen earlier this month that she would be interested in dating the Voice coach and later joked that she hoped he heard her comments.

The Client List star later apologised for making the remarks, while Levine said that he was "flattered" by her interest.

Levine has now also appeared on Ellen and host Ellen DeGeneres asked him about Love Hewitt's comments.

"I heard about that," he said. "That was aggressive!"

Levine added: "It was really sweet and flattering. That's awesome, you know - God, beautiful life when a beautiful woman says nice things about you."

However, when DeGeneres asked Levine - who recently split from his girlfriend Anne Vyalitsyna - whether he would like her to set them up, he laughed: "I'm cool!"

Earlier this week, Levine admitted that he is not yet sure whether he wants to get married.
